We are sad to announce that on November 25, 2024, at the age of 79, Diana Lenora Akins of Carbondale, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Gruner and Annabelle Gruner (Hutchings); and her husband Jim Akins. She is survived by: her children, Bill Schemonia (Michelle) and Crystal Miller (Roger); and her sister Eugenia Reed. She is also survived by Seven Grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park (31 Memorial Dr, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
