He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Carl" Bush and Mable "Maxine" Bush (Batson); and his former wife Shannon Sims Bush. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Bush of Carbondale; his children, Lyndell "Lynn" Dean Bush (Jan) of Carbondale and Robert Brian Bush (Judy Griffith) of Carbondale; his grandchildren, Shelby Jaleigh (Adam Lisiewski), Leyton Dean (Jessica), Hannah Kaye, Abigail Shannon (Cameron Kistner), Emma Lynne Bush and Maci Faith Escue; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Dean Bush and Charlotte Fae Bush; his stepson Scott Escue (Mickellynn) of Cobden; and his sister-in-law Harlene Lacy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home (112 S Poplar St, Carbondale, IL 62901). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105) or Shriners Hospital for Children (4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63310), two causes close to Dean's giving heart.
