Candace A. Stalling Obituary
Candace A. Stalling, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Candace was born November 17, 1957 in Chicago Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Ann (Floyd) Newman. Candace attended Mayo Elementary and graduated from Douglas. She attended Wendell Phillip High school and graduated in 1976.
She went on to go to Central YMCA College where she met her husband Keith in 1978. Keith saw Candace walking in the cafeteria while sitting at a table with his male friends. He shouted that "I'm going to marry her" and from that day on they were inseparable. On May 2nd, 1983 to present they were soul mates. Candace enjoyed many hobbies such as watching "Property Brothers" and any show that involved remodeling houses.
She enjoyed listening to music, especially Smokie Robinson. She also loved gospel music. Her favorite song was "The Last Mile of the Way". She is survived by her husband; Keith Stalling; her children; Kiana; Karlton (Erica); Kaitlin; Krystal; and Kendall; her children by marriage; Keith Jr; Kelvin; Kenneth; Lawanda (Craig) Hanson-Stalling; Kawanee (Raye) Stalling; her brothers; Clarence; Clifford; Christopher (Sharon) Newman; and her sister Claudia (Cleavon) Warren; Aunts; Vivian Pope; Shirley Newman; grandchildren; William Ingram; Juniyah Rayford; Steven Rayford; and 30 grandchildren by marriage and so many other dear relatives and many friends.
Candace was preceded in death by her father Clarence Newman, grandma Annie Floyd, brother Carleton Newman, and Grandfather Thomas Floyd. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday December 12, 2020 at Apostolic Life Church at 10:00 am with funeral service beginning at 11:00 with Pastor Darrin Weddle officiating.
