She was predeceased by: her parents, Flem Shupe and Cora Shupe (Cornett) of Vergennes, IL.; her husband Bill of Elkville; and her siblings, Elvin, Grace (Heape Nausley), Horace, Nina, Hazel (Nausley) and Iva.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Bertsche (Doug) of Pontiac, IL, Virginia Stein (Bob) of Wheaton, IL and Naomi Miali of Carbondale; her grandchildren, Meredith Watkins (Patrick) of Berwyn, IL, Hillary Wall (BJ) of Brisbane and Michael Stein (Elise) of Wheaton, IL; her great grandchildren, Reaghan, Will Watkins, Sunny, Otter Wall, Timothy, Madeline and Henry Stein; her brother-in-law Ray Doerr of Vergennes; and her sister Ethel.
Memorial contributions may be designated to Carbondale First United Methodist Church, Central Cemetery, or the SIU Foundation William A. Doerr Scholarship Fund.
