He was predeceased by: his aunt Faye Taylor (Gibson). He is survived by: his parents, Rory Walters and Sharon Walters (Gibson); and his aunts and uncles, Karen Gibson, Elizabeth Umfleet (Tim), Robert Walters and Robert Gibson. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made in Alex's name to Doctors Without Borders. A charity supported by his online gaming community.
