It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Pettygrove of Capron, Illinois, born in Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on June 18, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milferd Sjostrom and Junice Sjostrom (Goodyear). She is survived by: her husband James Earl Pettygrove; her children, Deborah Muzzillo (Joe), Tracey Trimble and Christine Wade (Del); her grandchildren, Jordan, Madysen, Hunter and Sophie; and her close friend Frankie.

The family would like to thank the entire team at Swedish American Cancer Center, specifically Dr. Schulz, Dr. Maeza, and lab technician, Dan.
