He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar McMahon and Alice McMahon (Albecker). He is survived by: his wife Victoria Antoinette McMahon (Szostakowski); his sons, Charles Raymond McMahon (Mary) and Christopher Joseph McMahon (Kim); his grandchildren, Justin McMahon (Jess), Falisha Armentrout (Edward) and Kasandra Algozine (James); and his brother William Robert McMahon. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capron Rescue squad in memory of Howard.

“Everyone that went to Illinois on October 24, 2023 went to the hospital to see Howard (great grandpa) when we go there he was in also not the best condition. We went home that day and prayed that we would see him for Christmas. November 15 is when we knew he passed which was the day he used to always go hunting with family. He passed peacefully and when hunting in heaven with his parents. He was loved by many and always will be. Love you so much.”
