He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wake and Jessie McEvoy Wake; and his brother James Wake. He is survived by: his wife Diane Jean Bokamp; his children, Jeffrey Wake (Elizabeth) of Springfield and Amy Fisher (Scott) of Chatham; his grandchildren, Liam and Riley Fisher; his siblings, Patricia Thresher of Cadiz, KY, Raymond Wake (Sharon) of Springfield, John Wake (Debbie) of Springfield, Jesse Wake (Michelle) of Cantrall and Thomas Wake (Kathy) of Allen, TX; and his half-brother Randy Miller of Pawnee. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
