He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Dean Shaw and Mary Jane Wilson. He is survived by: his sister Laura Jane Powell (Charles); his niece Sarah Powell-Fields (Jennifer); his great-nephew Matthew Powell (Wendy); his great-niece Megan; his brother David Murphy (Patty); his children, Christian Murphy (Haley), Nathan Murphy and Payton Murphy; his sister Melinda Tillman (Leroy); and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Joey, Samantha, Shantowa, Ricky and J. C..
