It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Eugene Benassi of Canton, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benassi and Vera Benassi (Chiara); his son Victor Benassi; and his sister Phyllis Cecil. He is survived by: his former wife Donna Bailey; his children, Steven Benassi (Angie) of North Pekin and Gayle Howell (Chad) of Pekin; his stepchildren, Alan Woerly of Macomb and Monica Murphy of Frankfort; and his sister Joann Doss of Pekin. He is also survived by three grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; one step-grandson; several great-grandchildren.
