He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pugh and Rogene Pugh; his wife Carla S. "Susie" Elson; his brothers, Cletus Williams and Kelly Pugh; his niece Jennifer; and his nephews, Clay and Cletus.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Marilyn Aden (Keith); his children, James D. Pugh (Mindy) of Abingdon, IL and Kari Pugh of Cuba, IL; his grandson CJ Pugh; his sisters, Ronda Piatt (Chip) and Lanaya Wooddell (Curtis); his pet Jethro; and his close friends, Carl Laver and Rudy Bishop.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or Illinois Cancer Care.
