James Petersen Obituary
We bid farewell to James Petersen (Canton, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 26, 2024 at the age of 84. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Petersen and Ruth Petersen; his brother Robert Petersen; and his son Troy Petersen. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Petersen; his children, Todd Petersen, Tera Shay, Timothy Petersen, Eddie Franciskovich and Gregory Franciskovich; and his grandchildren, Kaylyn Cooke, Joseph Petersen, Alexis Petersen, Taleigh Woods and Zobie Franciskovich. He is also survived by his great-grandchild Maylie Laws; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Troy Petersen Memorial Fund at the University of Iowa, a fund that James supported throughout his life, in honor of his son.
