He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester T. Courtney and Edna L. Courtney (Fidler); his wife Wilma Lingenfelter; his daughter Mary Widger; and his grandson William Edward Allen Lidwell.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Courtney (Sue) of Washington, IL, Donna Lidwell of Breeds, IL, Carol Myers (Zeke) of Breeds, IL, Betsy Gilmore (Tim) of Canton, IL and Bobbie Williamson of Breeds, IL. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
