Barbara Webber Luthy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Webber Luthy (Canton, Illinois), born in Urbana, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Webber and Ray Webber (T. R.); and her brother Tom Webber II. She is survived by: her husband Charles Luthy; her children, Leo Lenny McCarthy, Karen McCarthy, Shannon Lukens (Jeff), Douglas McCarthy (Sue), Chuck Luthy (Cindy), Maureen McCarthy (Julie), Allen Luthy (Amanda), Kristin Mixson (Jim) and Bill Luthy (Aimee); and her sister Nancy Andrews. She is also survived by her nineteen grandchildren, her nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (301 E Chestnut St, Canton, IL 61520). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Barbara's name to the following organizations: • P.E.O. Sisterhood: A philanthropic organization dedicated to promoting educational opportunities for women. Donations can be directed to the Illinois State Chapter BZ.
