With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Ehlers Jr. of Campbell Hill, Illinois, who passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ehlers and Clara Hornbostel Ehlers; his daughter Tina Rae Ehlers; his siblings, Wilbert Ehlers (Grace) and Helen Wilson (Ed); his brother-in-law Dale Welty; and his brother Leroy Ehlers.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Ehlers of Campbell Hill; his children, Deb Middendorf (Bob), Campbell Hill, Brian Ehlers (Kristi) of Ava, Dennis Ehlers of Willisville, Russell Ehlers (Vivian Nelson) of Ava, Tracy Reed (Bill) of Willisville, Jack Ehlers (Chris) of Elkville, Marvin Ehlers (Stacy Powles) of Murphysboro and Krista McHughes (Ken) of Marissa; his siblings, Roy Ehlers (Pat) of Campbell Hill, Ray Ehlers (Alice) of Carbondale, Melvin Ehlers (Marty) of Campbell Hill and Pauline Welty of Sparta; and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to executive order, face masks must be worn, and social guidelines must be followed.
