He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Rickenberg and Rudelle Meyer Rickenberg; and his sister Sandra Garriss. He is survived by: his wife Linda Rickenberg of Campbell Hill; his children, Doug Rickenberg of Campbell Hill and Cam Doeding (Craig) of Steeleville; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Rauscher (Austin), Kirsten Doeding, Brandon Rickenberg (Danielle) and Brett Rickenberg; his great grandchild Mia Rickenberg; and his sisters, Shirley Gremmels (Nelson) of California and Sharon Patterson (John) of California.

Memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery Fund or the DAV.
