He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Virgil, Irene June McDowell and Marion Sutton; his stepgrandfather Clifton Oitker; and his sister Jeannie McDowell.

He is survived by: his parents, Virgil McDowell and Odena Marie Sutton McDowell; his brother Lucas McDowell (Alicia) of Chatham, IL.; his niece Alexis McDowell; and his nephews, Kendall of Chatham and Carson McDowell of Chatham.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gardner Camp.
