He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren E. Balzer and Edla C. Aden Balzer; and his siblings, Marilyn Neff, JoAnne Fugate and Jerry Balzer.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Balzer; his children, JoEllen Smith (Jeremy), Rob Balzer (Lisa), Lisa Woods (Shawn) and Steven Balzer (Yon); his grandchildren, Bryan Cassens (Jen), Alana Cassens, Amy Burton (Zach), Katy Cassens, Austin, Brianna, Hannah, Emma Smith, Chris, Tommy, Drew, Devin, Dustin and Drake Balzer; his great grandchildren, Anton, Cabella Cassens, Chase, Evelyn, Mia, Lincoln Burton, Anastasia Bentzinger, Carter and Marcie Balzer; and his siblings, Loren G. Balzer and Sharon Oenning. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
