He is survived by: his wife Alisa Gillen of Cameron, IL; his children, Presslie Weiss (Jakob) of Vilseck, Germany and Grant Gillen of Cameron, IL; his siblings, Dusty Tatum (Curt) of East Over, NC, Sarah Williamson (Wes) of Chillicothe, IL and Bill "Casey" Gillen (Brandy) of Peoria, AZ; and his sister-in-law Melinda McGrew (Ray) of Hart, MI.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials can made to the Michael Shawn Gillen Memorial Fund for his children's education and can be sent to the funeral home.
