He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Dean and Ada L. Dean (Danforth). He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sue" Thomas of Cameron; his children, Paula Lotz of Cameron, Larry P. C. Dean (Terry) of Monmouth and Erin Van Houwe (Jonathan) of Cameron; his grandchildren, Nathan Lotz, Christopher Lotz (Lydia), Thomas Lotz (Rebecca), Aimee Lotz, Sarah Smith (Shane), Bobby Allaman (Justin), Joshua Dean (Amber), Jessica Dean, Matthew Stewart (Lynn Messenger), Jordan Stewart and Chloe Stewart; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Elsie, Irean and Adalina.
Memorials may be given to The American Heart Association or Rozetta Baptist Church.
