He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy James and Marie Florence Hulvey (Smith); his former wife Elaine Unger; his wife Betty Reeder (Elaine); his brother Maynard; his siblings-in-law, Connie Hulvey and Max Briggs; and his stepfather William Roudebush.
He is survived by: his daughter Charlotte Tillitt (Richard) of Murphysboro, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Reggie Tillitt (Lisa), Kristi Sherrill (Dave) of St. Louis, MO, Chris Ward of St. Louis, MO, Brad Ward (Jennifer) of Fishers, IN, Kyle Hulvey of Chicago, Kayla Henness of Perry and Keaton Hulvey (Katie Stolp) of Table Grove; his sister Marlene Briggs of Macomb; and his close friend Maggie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
