He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Hansen and Amanda Hansen (Peterson); his children, James Williams and Lisa DeGraeve; and his siblings, Don, Ervin, Morris, Betty, Shirley and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Kelly Gillespie (Jeff) and Thomas S. Williams; and his sisters, Sharon Naeve and Neva Brumm of Clinton, IA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
