Ronald J. Swanson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald J. Swanson of Cambridge, Illinois, who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ronald J. Swanson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Kenneth, Stan and Darrell; his brother-in-law Clarence Drescher; and his nephews, Keith, Steve and Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Rusk (Dave) of Cambridge, IL and Rob Swanson (Melissa) of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Ryan, Ryley Rusk, Caleb (Sylvia) and Myah Swanson; his sisters, Lauretta Drescher of Indianapolis, IN and Linda (Bob); and his in-laws, Doris Swanson, Norma Swanson of Geneseo, David DeKezel (Chris), Mark DeKezel, Marilyn Blair (Jack) of Davenport, IA and Debra Muller (Merle) of Sioux City, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vandemore Funeral Home - Geneseo (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery (1060 S Oakwood Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ronald J. Swanson Memorial Fund.
