He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Golden and Jennie Hadsall Golden; and his siblings, Lois Mae Hulslander and Ronald L. Golden. He is survived by: his wife Ina Fern Benson; his children, Tina Peed (Richard), Christy Roden (Eric Erdman) and Terry Golden (Cheri); and his siblings, Judith Ann Harlan (Willard) and James E. Golden. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
