He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. O'Dell and Mary R. Pharr O'Dell; and his brother Jerry. He is survived by: his wife Dori Warner; his children, Kenneth W. O'Dell, Jr. (Cynthia) of Cambridge, Katie Marie Hilton (Kolby) of Cambridge, Kallie Rose O'Dell of Cambridge, Brianna Nicole O'Dell of Cambridge, Amanda (Jimmy) and Jed Robert O'Dell; and his siblings, Tom Sturgeon (Sue) of Garden Grove, CA and Katherine O'Dell (Tom). He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
