He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Larry Schumaker and Dennis "Pops" Dean; his great-grandparents, Harold, Marjorie Schumaker, Albert, Lucille Doubler, Carl, Fern Dean, Floyd and Helen Palmer; and his aunts and uncles, Ronald Doubler, Betty Lou Doubler, Marvin "Moe" Schumaker, Cindy, Steve Reyes and Mikey Johnson.
He is survived by: his parents, Jesse Dean and Melanie Dean (Schumaker); his sister Adeline Dean; his grandparents, Karan Dean (Cookie), Marvin and Mary Kay Newman; his aunts and uncles, Roberta Doubler, Barbara Fulton, Jackie Anderson, Pat Guyette, Sally Clark, Darren, Sue Schumaker, Malcolm, Beth Newman, Melinda, Greg Taylor, Doug Schumaker, Lynda Klekowski and Eric "Newy" Neubauer; and his close friends, Tooter Stevens, Sharon Schnowske, Wayne, Debbie Morris, Doug, Paula Iverson, Gary Bennett, Kay Mundt, Laura Lewsader, Deb Else, Ray Bennett, Bailee and Levi Olesen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Vandemore Funeral Home - Geneseo (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Grant Dean Memorial Fund, which will be dispersed amongst his favorite local charities.
