She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian U. Nelson and Florence M. Larson Nelson; her husband Robert J. Dobbels; and her son-in-law Tom Fransene. She is survived by: her children, Julie (Brian Dwyer), Woodhull, Cheryl (Rick Valek), Lanny (Diane Dobbels) and Galva; her grandchildren, Travis Fransene (Starla), Trevor Fransene (Taylor), Trent Fransene, Nathan Dobbels (Kassie), Austin Dobbels (Tiffany), Abigail Geever (Brett) and Alyssa Valek; her stepgrandsons, Andrew Dwyer and Daniel Dwyer; her great grandchildren, Gage, Tatum, Talan, Barrett, Archer, Tessa, Tate, Everett and Kaylee; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kynlee and Kora; her daughter Sister Becky Dobbels; and her brother Donald Nelson.
A rosary will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church (313 S West St, Cambridge, IL 61238). Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bishop Hill Cemetery (308 Christina St, Bishop Hill, IL 61419).
