She was predeceased by: her former husband Joseph Szarkowicz; her husband Edward McDermott; and her siblings, Leonard Wilczynski, Albin Wilczynski, Marion Wilczynski, Alice Heath, Ann Krause and Sylvia Mangino.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Szarkowicz (Deanna) of Bloomington, Allen Szarkowicz (Carla) of Dyer, Joseph Szarkowicz (Brenda Miley) of Schererville and David Szarkowicz (Pam) of Lisbon; and her stepdaughter Joan Dudzik of Dyer.
