He was predeceased by: his parents, Trim Porter and Ozzie Mae Robinson Porter; and his siblings, Evelene Porter, Catherine Porter, Leola Porter Vance, Mattie Porter Smith, Doretha Porter, Mae Ola Porter, Trim Porter, Jr., Thomas Lee Porter, Pee Joe Porter, Robert Paul Porter and John Lee Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Porter of Calumet City, Illinois; his sons, Richard Jason Porter of Chicago, Illinois and James Porter of Chicago, Illinois; his sisters, Baslean Robinson of Americus, Georgia of Jacksonville, Florida, Mary Reddick (Raymond) of Jacksonville, Florida and Rosie Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida; and his mother-in-law Ruby Mae Brown of Calumet City, Illinois. He is also survived by grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
