He is survived by: his nephew Dr. Andem; his siblings, Bibiana, Mercy, Grace, Beatrice, Victoria, Catherine, Immaculata, John, Patrick, Emmanuel, Sylvanus, Benedict, Archibong, Livinus and Alfred; his wife Sharon Ekpenyong; his children, Andem Ekpenyong, Karen Shifflett and John Esong Ekpenyong; and his son-in-law James Shifflett.
