It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harvey Schmidt of Caledonia, Illinois, born in Hustisford, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Schmidt and Jeanette Schmidt; his sister Joan Zweifel; and his brother-in-law Fred Zweifel. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his daughters, Kristen Holden (Marc) and Kaitlin Murray (Paul); his granddaughters, Elise Holden, Adele Holden, Amelie Holden and Briana Murray; and his nephew Jeff Zweifel (Melinda).
For many years, he spent much of his free time refurbishing discarded company computers and donating them to regional schools and other groups.
