It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Archie Aydt of Cairo, Illinois, who passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert Dubois Hatcher; her brothers, Glynn Hatcher and Bob; and her mother Alice Petit Hatcher. She is survived by: her sisters, Mary Jane O'Shea, Dora Grindler and Ruth Carrington; her husband Louis Aydt; her children, Elizabeth A. Pace, Thomas Aydt (Rosana) and Sarah Aydt (Michael Jedlinski); and her grandchildren, Dr. Scott Pace (Anne), Stephen Pace (Brandy), Maria Borchardt (Shawn), Jon Aydt (Teri), Dr. Matthew Jedlinski (Taylor) and Andrew Jedlinski.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family appreciates contributions to the Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org) or to Saint Francis Medical Center Hospice.
