Donna Sue Thomas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Donna Sue Thomas of Cairo, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Rothchild and Alice Rothchild (Sumner); her husband Carl "Johnny" Thomas; her daughter Kara Alison Hubbard; and her siblings, Marcina, Darrell, Barron and Tom.
She is survived by: her children, John Kevin Thomas (Angie), Kent Thomas (Stacey), Kyle Thomas (Brenda Dickerson), Karla Thomas Shaffer (Chuck) and Keith Thomas (Kiera); her son-in-law David Hubbard; and her siblings, Buddy, Deanna, Russell and Robert. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mighty Rivers Worship Center (1000 Poplar St, Cairo, IL 62914). A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Mound City National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be made to the Mighty Rivers Upward Basketball program.
