She is survived by: her husband Charles Medger Barber; her mother Ernestine Meeks of Cairo; her sons, Brandon Meeks and Byron Meeks of Cairo, Illinois; her stepdaughter Chaunte'Barber of Mound City, Illinois; her children, Denese Oats, Ebony Oats of Arlington, Van Wallace and D. J. Oats; and her sisters, Pauline Meeks, Recynthia Meeks of Cairo, Carol Meeks of Jacksonville and Shawn Meeks of Springfield Illinois.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Massie Funeral Home (429 Oakley St, Mounds, IL 62964-1158).
