She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Sowers and Pearline Sowers (Hayes); her daughter Rowena Michelle Mitchell; her stepdaughter Lela; and her sons, Edward Leroy Mitchell and Tyrell.
She is survived by: her spouse Alfreddie Roosevelt Mitchell; her grandson Tramone Mitchell; her brothers, Harland and Dale Eric Sowers; her daughters-in-law, Florence Renee Mitchell and Clara Mitchell; her children, Antoine Mitchell of Cairo, IL, Alfreddie Mitchell, Jr. of Lima, OH., Marcus Mitchell of Murphysboro, IL, Rosetta Clark (Larry) of Mounds, IL. and Teresa Mack of Las Vegas, NV; her siblings, Jesse Sowers of Ahwatukee, AZ., Richard Sowers (Diana), Leslie Sowers (Nichelle) of Capitol Heights, Bennie Moshis (Thomas), Ora Hughes, Evaughn, Deborah Harris, Lawanda Clark of Elgin and Eighteen; her cousin Dillie Hughes; and her friends, Edwina Pigee, Dessi Bobo, Essie and Georgia Wesson. She is also survived by Eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
