She was predeceased by: her daughter Sherry Stockton; her parents, William Glenn and Eleanora; and her siblings, Arthur Dean Newton, Shirley Todd and Gwenda Capper.
She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Burnes, Sr.; her children, William Burnes of St. Louis, MO, Gwynne Allison (Pete) of New Baden, IL, Richard Burnes, Jr. (Teresa) of Venedy, IL and Eric Burnes (Heather Cates) of Festus, MO; and her brother Norman Dale Newton of Columbia, IL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
