James T. Simmons Obituary
We bid farewell to James T. Simmons of Cahokia, Illinois, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 11, 2025 at the age of 78. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, James shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Caroleta Simmons; his daughters, Tommie Simmons and Mary Yarnell; his sister Melody; and his great grandchild Maddison Huff.
He is survived by: his daughter Renaye Eastwood (Sam) of White Hall, AR; and his sister Lyndi Adams of Oklahoma. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Braun Family Funeral Home (265 Quarry Rd, Columbia, IL 62236). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
