It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Ruth Chaput of Cahokia, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Francis "Dusty" Chaput; her grandchildren, Katrina Welebob and Craig Chaput; her parents, Louis Huck and Lorene Huck; and her sister Rose Marie Hirth.

She is survived by: her children, Denise Spisak (Ken), Cindi Stonich (Joe), Kathryn "Kay' Busby (Don), John Chaput (Sandy), Kelly Waeltermann (Chris) and Dennis Chaput (Debbie); and her grandchildren, Amy Garcia (Marcus), Stacey Reyes (Chris), Jason Chaput (Brandi), Josh Chaput (Kelli), Neil Loerch, Candice Valentini (Tony), Ryan Chaput, Dustin Chaput, Ella Waeltermann and Justin Waeltermann. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers or plants, a donation can be made for purchase of a memorial tree to be planted by the family or to Hospice of Southern Illinois who were there for two months providing assistance.
