He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hayenga and Florence Hayenga (Myers); and his sister Shirley. He is survived by: his wife Donna Miller of Byron; his children, Jeff Hayenga (Donna) of Ashville, NC and Laura Kilmer (Jeff) of Fredericksburg, VA; his grandchildren, Nathan Hayenga, Jordan Ashby (Will), Ally Hayenga and Payton Kilmer (Zach Rollins); his great grandchild Liam Ashby; his sister Sharon Howard (Tom); and his uncle Don Myers.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be split amongst charities that meant the most to him.
