With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mark L. Winterton of Byron, Illinois, born in Dixon, Illinois, who passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mark L. Winterton to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elliot Winterton and Clara Winterton (Toppe); and his sister Linda Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife JoEllen Hemmersbach of Byron; his children, Shawn Winterton of Byron, Colton Winterton (Pryia Evans) of Byron, Will Winterton of Byron, Kayla Winterton (Gene Park) of Brooklyn, NY and Jenna Winterton of Byron; and his siblings, Chuck Winterton (Sue) of Leaf River and Wilma Fafnis of Little Chute, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Serenity Hospice and Home, St. Jude's, or St. Joseph's Indian School may be made in honor of Mark's memory.
