With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Bontjes of Byron, Illinois, born in Stillman Valley, Illinois, who passed away on August 20, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bontjes and Mary Bontjes (Caton); his wife Lois Harper; and his siblings, Ralph, Gene, Walter, Norene, Lois and Mildred.
He is survived by: his friends, Jerry Dodd and Moxie; his children, Brenda Caselli (Dave), Randy Bontjes (Cindy), Steven Bontjes, Roberta Oslund, Carla Goldammer (Gary), Sherry Walters (Tom Anderson), Kimberly Taylor and Gina Ross (Brian); his grandchildren, John Caselli (Angela), Angie Duhr (Bill), Private Tyler Bontjes, Connor Bontjes, Jordan Oslund, Jason Thompson (Rebecca), Jenna Thompson, Jamie Walters (Ike), Brenda Tanker (Nathan) and Andrew Walters (Katie); his sisters, Dorothy Jackson and Nylia Larson; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Bontjes and Marjorie Bontjes. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 masks and social distancing will be required at the services.
