He is survived by: his wife Roxie Smith of Byron; his daughters, Dawn Smith of Kings and Shannan Johnson of Rochelle; his stepchildren, Shane Largo of Rockford and Tasha Largo of Machesney Park; his brothers, Roy Smith (Christine) of Rockford and Ricky Benson; his grandsons, Nicholas, Zachary, Austin, Chance and Patrick; his stepgranddaughter Sara Rachel; and his great grandchildren, Amara Marie and Yasmine Emily.
