It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce M. Hunsaker in Byron, Illinois, born in Christopher, Illinois, who passed away on November 11, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Beneventi and Erma Beneventi (Morin); her former husband John Hunsaker; her grandson Jonathan Douglas Knodle; and her brother Robert Beneventi.
She is survived by: her husband Earle Mailand of Byron, IL; her daughters, Lisa Helms (Kevin) of Byron and Lynn Knodle (Douglas) of Byron; her sister Joan Arle of Byron; and her grandchildren, Robert Zellers (Alesha) of Onalaska, WI, Cristina Mugrage (Andy) of Byron, IL, Matthew Zellers of Byron, IL, Brittany Thompson (Kane) of Wheaton, IL and Paige Bohannon (Matthew) of North Liberty, Iowa. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund is established in Joyce's name for the All Saints Lutheran Church in Byron, IL and also for the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, IL.
