She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyllys Gross and Anna Gross (Christianson); and her sisters, Arlene Langholf and Artyst Alberts. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Loren "Gene" Gambrel of Winnebago, IL; her children, Sonya Gambrel-Lenarz (John) of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, William Gambrel (Kathleen) of Pecatonica, IL and Susan Gambrel of Winnebago, IL; her sister Alta Straley of Winnebago, IL; and her grandson Randall Lenarz of Florida. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund is established for the First Presbyterian Church of Winnebago, the Blackhawk Area Boy Scouts Council, and the Rock River Valley Girl Scouts.
