With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William E. Southard of Butler, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on May 24, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Herbert and Mary Louise Southard (Weitekamp); his daughters, Patricia, Charlene and Catherine; and his brothers, Clarence "Buster", George and Bob Southard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn L. Goebel (Lynn) of Rochester and Cindy Southard of Des Moines, IA; his siblings, Ben Southard of Springfield, John "Bing" Southard (Linda) of Springfield and Bunny Southard (Jim Haley); his sister-in-law Karen Southard of Galesburg; and his close friend Little Joe. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
