He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew T. Windhausen and Alice Applegate Windhausen; and his brother-in-law Jim Stanton. He is survived by: his wife Karen Windhausen; his children, Matthew J. Windhausen Jr., Corey Windhausen, Jay Guarin Jr. (Jada), Debra Grisham (Shaun) and Julie Guarin; and his siblings, Mark Windhausen and Gretchen Stanton.
