It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Duane Spangler of Bushnell, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Cleveland and Lillian Spangler (Battin); and his siblings, Ida May Kitch, Ted Spangler, Alice Whittier, George Spangler, Verle Spangler, Leona Yocum, Jean Swartzbaugh, Evelyn Griffith, Ernest Spangler (Spud) and Mary Cadwalader.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Spangler (Hutchins) of Bushnell, IL; his daughters, Kaylene Spangler of San Clemente, CA. and Marla Spangler of Highland, IL; his grandchildren, Brendan Collins, Devin Collins of San Clemente, CA, Angela Collins of La Habra, CA and Taryn Collins of Benicia, CA; and his great grandchildren, Nathan Graham, Jadyn Graham and Russell Loger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home (771 N Crafford St, Bushnell, IL 61422). A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bushnell Township Cemetery (1400 E Hail St, Bushnell, IL 61422).
