He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandchildren, Blake Harris, Colter Slater and Mack Slater; his siblings, John Slater (Laurie) of Bushnell, IL, Benjamin Slater (Melody) of Bushnell, IL, Terry Slater (Cathy) of Macomb, IL and Arthur Slater (Paula) of Campobello, SC; his stepbrothers, James Groutage (Heather) of Avon, IL and Aaron Groutage of Tampa Bay, FL; and his close friends, Hugging, Harris, Harwell and Kaatz Familes. He was also cherished by his father, brothers, and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to BPC Jr. High Cross Country Program, where he coached and encouraged kids for many years.
