He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard E. Hollis and Alice Hollis (Bigelow); his former wife Betty J. Bailey; his daughter Cheryl Ann Hollis; and his stepson Kyle Murfin.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth France-Nixon; his daughters, Rosemary Hirst (Johnny) of Auburndale, FL and Beth Wharton (David) of East Peoria, IL; his grandchildren, Robby Schlegel (Jessica) of Orlando, FL and Blake Wharton (Courtney) of Springfield, MO; his great grandchildren, Cavitt Aubrey Schlegel, Madelyn Wharton and Olive Replogle; his siblings, Berton Hollis (Betty) of Sterling, IL, Rosemary Aurand (Paul) of Galesburg, IL and John Hollis (Donna) of Elkhart, IN; and his stepchildren, Cheryl Feldman (Garry) of El Paso, TX and Jaci Vaughn (Gale) of Jacksonville, IL..
