He is survived by: his spouse Ellen; his children, Margaret (Thomas), Sullivan, Katherine Knoelke (John), John Jr. Benish (Christie), Anthony Benish (Jennifer) and Nell Sikora (Douglas); his grandchildren, Madeline O'Sullivan, Sean O'Sullivan, Gretchen, Sophie, Connor, Charlie Knoelke, McKenzie, Georgia, John James III, Lucy Benish, Anthony Jr., William Benish, Daniel Benish, Samuel, Sadie and Scarlett Sikora; and his siblings, Thomas and Reverend William.
